But now that we are going on a cruise in less than two months (my first real vacation in the real world!!!), I've been trying to at least eat healthier and hope it reflects well on my bikini bod.
After buying out what seemed like the whole grocery store produce section and gaining the motivation to toss everything in the blender in the wee hours of the morning (trust me, it's not easy to grow this motivation), I finally got back on the smoothie horse!
Here's how I made my Random Mix Smoothie #1:
Ingredients
- 2 ice cubes
- Handful of kale
- 6-8 cherry tomatoes
- 8-10 blueberries
- 1 medium banana
- 1/4 cup flax seed
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 cup water
Preparation
It's easy! Just throw in the ice and all other ingredients into your blender. Blend as long as you'd like to get the consistency you desire. Although this smoothie may not be the prettiest looking mixture in the end (think bluish green and mysterious looking), it sure does taste delicious and is the perfect morning pick-me-up. Plus, nobody has ever gone wrong with kale!
Sounds yummy! You can also add some protein powder!
